The image says it all: an infinity pool, a wooden deck and a stone paving that looks as if it had always been there.<\/p>\n<h3>A little history<\/h3>\n<p>Son Bunyola is no ordinary estate. In the second half of the 19th century it belonged to <strong>Archduke Ludwig Salvator of Austria<\/strong>, who gathered numerous properties along the north-west coast of Mallorca &mdash;between Valldemossa and Dei&agrave;&mdash; to study the nature, geography and customs of the Balearic Islands. That work gave rise to <em>Die Balearen<\/em>, one of the most complete historical and ethnographic descriptions ever written about the islands.
