Frequently asked questions
What is the Rimless 2.0.1 flush system?
It is the rimless flush system that Ceramica Cielo presents as one of its most advanced innovations for its sanitaryware. It works by vortex and removes the inner rim of the bowl, so that, according to the manufacturer, the areas where dirt, bacteria and limescale build up are reduced. Cielo adds that the flow wraps around the whole surface and guarantees a deep, even clean with every flush.
Does that toilet use less water and is it easier to clean?
The manufacturer states reduced water consumption, which it links to savings and respect for natural resources, although it does not publish litres per flush on this page. Cielo also connects the rimless design with less need for harsh detergents and quicker disinfection.
How many colours are there to choose from, and are they matt or gloss?
Cielo organises its range into three families: Essential, with four gloss tones (white, black, Talpa and Fumo), Le Terre di Cielo, with sixteen earth tones, and Le Acque di Cielo, with six water tones. The manufacturer explains that in Le Acque di Cielo, alongside the matt tones, a gloss palette brings in new plays of light.
Is the colour applied on top of the ceramic, or is it only surface paint?
It is integrated into the piece. According to Cielo, in Le Terre di Cielo the glaze is applied to the dry pieces and fuses with the heat of firing until it becomes a living skin that wraps the ceramic. The manufacturer itself describes that coloured material as living and changeable, so you should expect variations between pieces.
What is the Fenix material used in the furniture, and how does it behave?
Fenix Multistrato is made up of 60 % paper and 40 % resins, obtained through a simultaneous heat and pressure process which, according to Cielo, gives a homogeneous, non-porous product, on a phenolic birch plywood structure. The manufacturer describes a very matt, anti-fingerprint surface, soft to the touch, and attributes to its nanoparticles an extreme resistance to surface scratches and abrasion.
What is the ReSeat toilet seat like?
Cielo presents it as its new toilet seat, made from a fully recyclable material and designed for maximum durability. The manufacturer highlights a compact structure that keeps performing even in heavily used spaces, colour running through the full thickness so that wear shows less, and a smooth, non-porous surface that makes daily cleaning easier.
