Founded in 1947 by the brothers Giovanni and Ersilio, Fantini is still an Italian family business, with its origins in Pella, on the shore of Lake Orta, in the north-west of the country. More than seventy years of work have made it an international reference in tap design, with collections of taps and accessories for the bathroom. Fontane Bianche sums up its way of designing: the whole collection is built on the dialogue between the circle and the square, a simple geometric rule that orders every piece. That is exactly why we chose it, because it still treats the tap as a piece of the project and not as an accessory added at the end, and for the continuity of a house that has stayed in the same family's hands since 1947.

Frequently asked questions
What water pressure does a Fantini single-lever mixer need?
According to the manufacturer's technical data, the minimum pressure is 1 bar and the maximum 10 bar, and the recommended working pressure is between 2 and 5 bar. Fantini also states a maximum inlet pressure differential between hot and cold water of 1.5 bar.
At home the pressure is above 5 bar. Do I need to do anything?
Yes. Fantini states in its installation instructions that, if water pressure exceeds 5 bar, it is preferable to fit a pressure reducer upstream of the supply, to avoid vibration and achieve stable temperature control. The manufacturer also notes that these single-lever mixers can be used with pressurised hot water cylinders as well as with instantaneous water heaters.
What water temperature do the taps take?
Fantini's technical data sheets state a maximum temperature of 80 °C (176 °F) and a maximum recommended temperature of 65 °C (149 °F). In other words, the manufacturer allows up to 80 °C but recommends working below that.
How are the taps cleaned? Can I use bleach or a household limescale remover?
No. Fantini states that cleaning should be done with a soft cloth dampened in liquid soap diluted in water, rinsing and then drying carefully. The manufacturer expressly prohibits detergents containing abrasive substances or based on hydrochloric acid, vinegar, ammonia, acetone, bleach, household acids, assorted disinfectants and abrasive sponges, and warns that using products it does not recommend can damage the surface irreparably, in which case it accepts no responsibility for the damage.
What flow rate does a Fantini basin tap give?
It depends on the model, but the manufacturer publishes it on each data sheet. On the Nostromo basin mixer art. E904WF, for example, Fantini states a flow limiter of 5 l/min at 3 bar and an integrated aerator, with a flow curve running from 2.84 l/min at 0.5 bar to 5.49 l/min at 3 bar. The sheet also notes a spout reach of 11.5 cm, a cylindrical lever, supply hoses included and that it is supplied without a waste.
Which finishes can it be ordered in?
It varies by series and article, and the manufacturer lists them one by one on each product sheet. On the Nostromo art. E904WF, Fantini offers eleven finishes: Chrome, Matt Black, Matt White, Matt Gun Metal PVD, Matt British Gold PVD, Matt Copper PVD, Deep Black PVD, Mokka PVD, Pure Brass PVD, Raw Metal PVD and Brushed Steel. On the Milano series, for example, the palette is different and includes Polished Nickel PVD.
