One surface, a whole project
What makes Amara special is that it resolves a whole home with a single language, thanks to its three thicknesses:
- 12 mm → kitchen and bathroom countertops, in one continuous piece with no visible joints.
- 10 mm → indoor and outdoor floors, in large format for fewer joints.
- 6 mm → wall cladding, light and easy to install.
That continuity —same tone, same texture on countertop, floor and wall— creates serene spaces of timeless elegance.
The origin: from a Binissalem stone to Amara
Amara was not born in a factory, but in a Mallorcan quarry. When Inalco set out to create an MDi from the island’s most emblematic stone, at Gomila we sent them a real piece of Binissalem stone —bush-hammered—, the traditional limestone with which much of Mallorcan architecture has been built and whose extraction is today very limited for environmental reasons, which makes it especially valuable.
From that piece, Inalco developed Amara. An MDi is a material halfway between natural stone and porcelain —around 90 % of natural origin— that reproduces with remarkable fidelity the texture, warm nuances and subtle white veins of the original stone, but with the performance of a state-of-the-art surface.

Amara, Hindi for «immortal», is a promise of beauty that endures. Its cream colour and subtle relief bring warmth and a very natural feel to the touch, far from the coldness of other materials. It is the choice for those who want the beauty of stone without its drawbacks.

Available in a DT (Digital Texture) finish and in DT Grip+, a non-slip version made for wet areas: perfect for terraces, pool decks and bathrooms where safety matters, while keeping the same look.

Amara comes in large formats —up to 1600×3200 mm— as well as 1600×1600, 1000×3000 and 1000×1000 mm, to suit countertops, large floor spans and walls.
